Coalition for Christianity and Ecology (NACCE), an ecumenical,
voluntary, tax-exempt organization, was established in 1986 to encourage
the many strands of Christian tradition in the work of healing the damaged
earth, and to build Earthkeeping Circles that teach reverence for God's
creation and the understanding that humans are not separate from the natural
world. The Center for Progressive
Christianity provides guiding ideas, networking opportunities
and resources for progressive churches, organizations and individuals
with connections to Christianity. Progressive means an emphasis
upon the search for meaning rather than absolute certainty, on questions
rather than answers, on openness rather than claims that Christianity
is the only way. |
